Using SnipSell to Sell Your Ringtones Online

If you’re trying to figure out how to sell your ringtones online, I gotta tell you, there’s a whole lot of junk out there that won’t help you at all. When I tried searching for clues as to the best way to do it, it was like a wild goose chase—the search engines gave me some lame forum links and other non-relevant stuff. I finally got a little bit of a lead when I found out about SnipSell.com through an Apple forum post.

SnipSell is one of the quickest ways to get started. They have a 1-page interface where you upload your ringtone, choose your compensation plan ($19.99 per year for 70% royalties or free for 50% royalties) and they will upload your ringtone to the iTunes store. You have to put your ringtone in m4r format for it to get recognized and be playable on iOS devices…at least that’s what I remember. You get paid by PayPal. It seems to be a pretty easy deal, although I wouldn’t expect too many people to become millionaires by doing this. It can at least buy you some Dunkin Donuts money when the mood is right.

I could be wrong, though…if there’s anyone really banking with SnipSell, please leave me a comment below. I’d love to hear how you’ve done it!

Well, Here We Are...

Glad you could join me! I plan on using this blog to showcase some of the ringtones that I create, maybe even to offer some free for download, or whatever. I also want to use this blog to share any kind of information about ringtones that I can get my hands on, even as far as more technical stuff as well as ways to make your own ringtones or even sell them online. That about wraps it up for now…no need for me to waste time blabbing about anything else. Toodle-loo!!!
