HTC is making some changes in its organization by creating a new “emerging devices” division, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal. The division will focus on increasing the company’s presence in the U.S. market, as well as improving distribution strategies across the globe and increasing innovation.
“With the success of the One, we have many new opportunities both to expand current sales as well as to enter new distribution channels with new business models,” – HTC CEO Peter Chou via the Wall Street Journal
According to the report, HTC North America President Mike Woodward will lead the newly created division. HTC made another move, with CEO Peter Chou announcing that Jason Mackenzie, currently president of global sales, will be stepping up as president of HTC North America.
The reorganization comes as HTC is facing slow financial performance, and comes on the heels of some rough times for the company. Although the HTC One is enjoying popularity among smartphone customers, HTC is still facing stock prices at lows not seen since 2005.

10.5MP camera with flash, and 2.1MP on the front
Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac

As far as performance goes, the An Tu Tu benchmarks put the device somewhere in the range between the Galaxy Note II and the LG Optimus G Pro. We’ve known for some time that Motorola is aiming to make a handset that is affordable and functional, so it’s no surprise to see the device’s performance falling a little below flagship smartphones such as the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One.
While the above specs are still unconfirmed by Motorola, Android Police has put together an impressive report from a host of leaks, as well as today’s pictures, head there to see a full gallery showcasing the Moto X. We will see what exactly the device is touting come August 1st, when Motorola holds its press event in New York City.

The refreshed Nexus 7 has been highly anticipated, and looks to ship with a revamped design, faster CPU, and a few features that weren’t available in the original. For starters, we’re expecting the tablet ship with both rear and front-facing cameras, and possibly the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 or S 4 Pro. There have been several rumors pertaining to the new Nexus 7′s specifications, but we don’t have long to wait until we see exactly what has made it into the tablet.
Google is (presumably) set to take the wraps off of the refreshed Nexus 7 this Wednesday at an event in San Francisco. If the Best Buy flier does turn out to be fact, we’re betting that the new Nexus 7 will in the hands of quite a few people come next Tuesday.
Are you looking to grab the refreshed Nexus 7 or do you have another tablet in mind?

We’ll see if this is in fact what Nokia has in store for us when they announce their news tomorrow at 9AM U.K. time.
No, there’s nothing too exciting here, but the wallpaper seen on the device looks somewhat similar to previous Jelly Bean iterations. The renders also show the placement of the tablet’s notification LED, which you might have missed in the recent leaked video of the device.
As far as specifications go, the new Nexus 7 is rumored to ship with an updated, high-res display, along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, front and rear cameras, and more. The pricing for the new Nexus 7 leaked last week, and will have a higher starting price than its predecessor. Still, the follow-up to the Nexus 7 looks to be worth the extra cash.
